What happens after sequestration?

Sequestration | Guide

Perhaps most importantly, your problem unsecured debts will be written off after you’re discharged from your sequestration, normally after 12 months. Your lenders no longer have any claim against you and you'll have a 'clean slate'.

Bear in mind, however, that you may need to carry on making some payments to your lenders (as long as you can afford to) for up to four years.
