Is a Debt Management Plan confidential?

Debt Management Plan | Guide

If you enter a Debt Management Plan, it is confidential between you and your lenders (and us, if you ask us to set it up for you). Generally, if you choose to tell somebody, it’s your choice. Unlike insolvency solutions (such as IVAs and Trust Deeds), Debt Management Plans are not listed on a public register.

In most cases, you do not have to tell your employer that you are on a Debt Management Plan. However, you should check your employment contract, as there are some jobs, such as being a Police Officer, where you may be required to disclose if you have problem debt.
