Everyone wants to feel they’re able to give their all when it comes to their job. Working hard and proving yourself can be very important when it comes to building the career you want, and reaching certain life goals that you might have.
But what if you find yourself in a position where you don’t feel you’re able to fully concentrate at work because you have debts hanging over your head? Will a debt solution affect my career?

There are certain employers that won’t employ people who are insolvent – this means that you’re unable to repay your debts back. This only tends to be the case in jobs where you’re required to handle money, like an accountant, or jobs where you’re in a position of authority like a police officer.

Looking after yourself
As well as getting practical financial help, you need to make sure you’re looking after your physical and mental health as well. You may feel that money worries have taken their toll on your mental health and that depression and anxiety are now issues in themselves. Make sure to get an appointment with your GP to discuss your feelings and how to move forwards. There’s also lots of advice from the NHS concerning mental health, whatever the root cause of the problem.
